We have received the “Premier” at the renowned “Großen Preis des Mittelstandes”. The Oskar Patzelt Foundation has been awarding the prize for 30 years and it is considered one of the most important German business awards for medium-sized companies. "Premier" is the highest award in the competition and is only given to outstanding companies that have excelled in several categories.

Frank Ganssloser, CEO and founder of AVAT, accepted the white porcelain figure on behalf of all employees at the national gala in Düsseldorf. In his acceptance speech, he emphasized: “This award makes visible what we, as a medium-sized company in Tübingen, have been doing for decades and what we have achieved in the renewable energy industry.”

AVAT has been regularly among the nominees for the award since 2008: in 2015 the company was recognized as a ‘Finalist’, in 2018 as a ‘Laureate’ and in the same year also received the ‘Honorary Plaque’. In 2021, it was honored as a “Premier Finalist” and now, in 2024, as a “Premier” – an achievement that only a few of the 20,000 companies nominated to date have attained.

In awarding the “Premier” title, the jury paid tribute to the company's development in recent years: “AVAT is a pioneer in the digital automation of gas engines and in the development of environmentally friendly energy supply systems. With its strong employer branding strategy, innovative product development and dedicated research work, the company is making a significant contribution.”

The performance of the nominated companies is evaluated in five categories: the overall development of the company, the creation and safeguarding of jobs and apprenticeships, the modernization and innovation, service and customer focus, and regional engagement. AVAT is an attractive employer for the Tübingen region, offering skilled employees the opportunity to work in a future-oriented, technically demanding environment and actively shape the energy transition.
