Using artificial intelligence to make the charge management of e-mobile fleets plannable

In the e-LISA-BW project, AVAT is responsible for the technical implementation of the intelligent charging management system. The charging infrastructure in the Waldhornstraße parking garage in Karlsruhe will be expanded, even though the grid connection capacity is too small. This apparent contradiction is to be solved by means of comprehensive digitalisation and artificial intelligence. In the future, it should be possible to make information from various data sources, such as a fleet booking system, planable for charging processes in e-mobile fleets. Another goal is to develop recommendations for intelligent charging management in multi-storey car parks.

Funding is provided within the framework of the Strategy Dialogue for the Automotive Industry in Baden-Württemberg initiated by the state government. Around 70 institutions and companies participate in project INPUT at 15 locations in the state. Partners in the project are the German Aerospace Center (DLR) - Institute for Vehicle Concepts, which acts as consortium leader, and the Center for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW). The Parking Management Baden-Württemberg (PBW), the Regional Council of Karlsruhe as well as Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, are associated partners in the project. AVAT and Siemens are subcontractors.
