Energy contracting: ZEAG wins award for innovative district project

Our long-standing customer, ZEAG Energy AG, has received the "Contracting Award BW" for integrated district development in the "Kirschengarten" project. The energy supplier is thus on the winner's podium for the 3rd time in a row.

The "Kirschengarten" project of "Stadtsiedlung Heilbronn GmbH" and "iep wohnen GmbH & Co. KG" was realized by ZEAG as a contractor - from the planning of the energy supply to the construction of the combined heat and power plants to the operation of the local heating network with heat transfer stations. We supported ZEAG with our standardized energy center control system, the SE²MASTER, as well as with the connection of the system to the existing central SE²OPERATOR control technology. The residents of the total of 119 residential units now benefit from a sustainable heat supply as well as low-cost tenant electricity and fiber optic connection.

The entire AVAT team congratulates ZEAG on this award and is already looking forward to further groundbreaking projects.

The "Contracting Prize BW" has been awarded since 2017 by the KEA (Agency for climate protection and energy) Baden-Württemberg and the BFW (national association of real estate and housing companies) Baden-Württemberg e.V. and honors innovative and particularly sustainable residential and neighborhood concepts in which above-average energy, environmental or sustainability standards have been implemented by means of energy contracting.
